WORLD RECORD HOLE IN ONE WORLD record hopeful Glenn Turner has scored his first hole in one of his 12 month tour, 256 games into the attempt. Professional golfer and EGTF member Glenn has been playing at courses across Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland since April 1 in an attempt to play at the most 18-hole golf courses in 12 months. 246 days into the tour, on December 3, Glenn recorded his first hole in one of the tour at Pavenham Park Golf Club in Bedford on the Par 3 sixth hole. Glenn was playing a four ball round with club captain Ray DeBranco, Kevan Parker and Russell Freeman. Glenn, who is about to depart to continue his tour in Mallorca over the festive period, said: "It's been a long time coming, but it was a great feeling to score my first hole in one of the tour and has given me a real boost to continue working towards the world record as I get ready to spend Christmas in Mallorca without my family." |

EGTF Professionals, Bill Abbott and Pete Stopford have recently taken over the teaching duties at the picturesque Darenth Valley Golf Course in Sevenoaks, Kent. Bill says, "We are introducing a teaching academy here, with the emphasis on the short game. Although not a great time of year to start, Pete has already built up a good number of students and we will be implementing adult, junior and senior clinics for next Spring. I plan to hold a Pro Am here along with some CPD Courses for members in the southern regions of the country. If you are in the area, please drop in and see me or Pete."
