Congratulations go to Stewart Craig, EGTF Master Teaching Professional and Staff Instructor, who is now forging a career as a Tour Coach on the Ladies European Tour.  Stewart is working with six lady pro's at the moment, and the signs of improvement are there for all to see, as Ellen Smets finished second to Laura Davies in the Scandinavian Masters, two weeks after starting to work with him.

With Stewart at the helm, it can only be a matter of time before an EGTF coach provides a winner on the Ladies Tour.

On 18 August 2006, EGTF Pro, Dale Reid OBE, was honoured at a "Presentation of Appreciation" during the Wales Ladies Championship of Europe at Machynys Peninsula Golf and Country Club, Llanelli.

Although not officially retiring, Dale has decided to play in only one or two tournaments a year from now on and because of her astonishing career with the Ladies European Tour - as well as her popularity - her fellow competitors threw a surprise drinks party for her to celebrate at the club.

During the party, Dale, who is a life member of the Tour and a two-time Solheim Cup captain, was presented with a hand held video camera by the 2007 Solheim Cup captain, Helen Alfredsson and she said: "I am flabbergasted!  I didn't know anything about it at all.  I thought it was a players' meeting and thought to myself that it couldn't be such an important one because not all the girls were there."

Dale played in the tournament but missed the cut.  She said: "I have loved being here this week, even though I didn't play very well, because these players are family to me.  Karen (Lunn), Dibbs (Dibnah), Trish (Johnson), LD (Davies) and Alfie (Alfredsson) are a big part of my  life.  We've been through a lot to get where we are.  I may come back and play one or two tournaments next year but that is the most."

Dale as you know, qualified for the EGTF in March 2006 and is now teaching in Drumoige, Scotland, which is the old Scottish National Golf Centre.

EGTF Professionals Barrie Valler (Burstow Golf Club) and Sharon Hinton (Villa Golf) have had tremendous success with junior academies.

They decided to organise junior fun matches to introduce the youngsters from both clubs to matchplay competition in a fun, friendly and safe environment.

Home and away matches have been played over the last two months and future fixtures are on the cards.
