Scotland Pro Am September 2009

The Pro Am tournament in Scotland on 27 September 2009 was a well attended affair, with people travelling from all over the UK and abroad to play in this annual event.

The weather was a little cruel, with winds gusting up to 40 mph to make the Falkirk Golf Course play extremely difficult.

The EGTF Pro event was captured by Ladies European Tour legend Corinne Dibnah, who used all her tournament know how (20 titles on tour worldwide!) to capture the title with a very fine round of 76.

The Amateur event was captured with an excellent score of 40 points by Falkirk Golf Club member Paul Ledwidge, which was an outstanding round in very tough conditions.

The team title was very keenly contested, but with his individual title already in the bag, Paul Ledwidge teamed up with his brother, EGTF Professional Peter Ledwidge, to take the trophy with a score of 40 points.

My thanks once again go to our sponsors, Gel Putters, Orka Golf Clubs and ProStance Teaching Aids, who have supported our Pro Am tournaments for over two years, and to everyone at Falkirk Golf Club who always make our stay so welcome.
